Fridge & Freezer Repairs
Residential fridges and freezers, upright and wine chillers, and commercial refrigeration, repaired using current techniques and parts.
Vale View is a rural locality in the Toowoomba Region, with rural residential homes on the southern slope of Mount Shepperd and cropping and grazing land across the rest. Wherever your home sits, Care Technical Services brings appliance repairs to you: fridges and freezers, washing machines, dishwashers, stoves and ovens, and electric and solar hot water systems. The business has been locally owned and operated by Kelvyn since 1979.
Vale View
Vale View is a settled community: the median age was 44 at the 2021 Census, and 48.0% of occupied private dwellings were owned outright. Households like these often keep a well-made appliance going for many years, and repairing it can be better value than replacing it. We work on appliances regardless of age, explain the fault in plain terms, and quote before the repair.
Every occupied private dwelling counted in Vale View at the 2021 Census was a separate house, and couples without children made up 45.3% of families, above the Queensland figure of 40.3%. Many of these homes sit on rural land well out from the city, so a repairer who can diagnose the appliance and the electrical supply in one visit saves a second trip.

Vale View is bounded on the south-east by the New England Highway, and the Southern railway line marks a short section of its north-western boundary. In the north of the locality, rural residential homes sit on the southern slope of Mount Shepperd; the rest is used for cropping and grazing on native vegetation. The neighbourhood of Shepperd grew around the former Shepperd railway station, a name suggested in 1915 by the Drayton Shire Council after Samuel Shepperd, manager of the Glengallan pastoral property.
The 2021 Census counted 150 occupied private dwellings, all of them separate houses, with 69.6% having four or more bedrooms and an average of 3 motor vehicles per dwelling. On rural and rural residential properties, a hot water system or a second freezer is often essential rather than optional, so we treat a breakdown as a priority and check the supply behind the appliance as well.

Build-up in the door seal and drain area is a common cause. A proper clean and a check during the repair visit usually solves it, and wiping the seal and leaving the door ajar helps keep it away.
Uneven heating, slow heating, or an oven that will not reach the set temperature can be caused by faulty elements, thermostats, wiring or controls. We assess the appliance, find the source and repair it.
