Switchboard Upgrades & Repairs
Replacement of older switchboards, repairs, and safety switches added where they are missing.
Relevant to Centenary Heights homes from the decades after the suburb was named in 1960.
Houses and townhouses in a suburb named in 1960, wired, upgraded and repaired by a Toowoomba Master Electrician.
Centenary Heights was named in 1960, and a run of schools opened there between 1960 and 1977, which suggests much of the suburb grew up in those decades. Homes from that period are now old enough to need their switchboards and wiring looked at. Care Technical Services, a Toowoomba Master Electrician operating since 1979, upgrades and repairs them, and looks after the suburb's many townhouses too.
Centenary Heights
Electrical systems age quietly. A switchboard that suited a 1960s or 1970s household may still work today, but without the safety switches, capacity or outlets a modern home expects. In Centenary Heights we see that alongside a large share of townhouses, 20.2% of occupied dwellings at the 2021 Census, and a renting share of 37.5%. Care Technical Services handles installation, repairs and preventive maintenance, explains what we find in plain terms, and offers 24/7 emergency call-outs for outages and equipment failure.
Centenary Heights has a higher share of townhouses than the Toowoomba average. At the 2021 Census, 20.2% of its 2,563 occupied private dwellings were semi-detached homes, townhouses or terraces, against 13.0% across the Toowoomba local government area, and 37.5% were rented. That mix of older houses, townhouses and rentals calls for an electrician who is careful about upgrades and clear with owners and agents.

Older systems are the ones most likely to fail, so a yearly check is worthwhile.
Centenary Heights lies 4 kilometres south-east of the Toowoomba central business district. It was previously part of Middle Ridge and is now home to Centenary Heights State High School, Gabbinbar State School, St Thomas More's Primary School and the Martin Luther Primary campus of Concordia Lutheran College, along with parks such as Emmerson Park and Horner Reserve, which includes a large town water storage reserve.
The 2021 Census counted 6,152 residents with a median age of 37. Houses made up 77.3% of occupied dwellings and townhouses 20.2%, and 53.5% of homes had three bedrooms. Homes built in the decades after the suburb was named often keep their original switchboards and circuits, and those are where a safety inspection is most worthwhile.
Townhouses bring their own care points: shared walls, shared roof spaces and supply arrangements that can differ from block to block. We confirm which circuits belong to which dwelling before we isolate or change anything.
